Autism & ADHD: Effective Mental Health Support for Children Through Case Presentations - Elementary Age
What makes this training different?Â
This isn't just another boring lecture! You'll learn through REAL cases – We dive into client scenarios that mirror your caseload, walking through clinical reasoning and neuroaffirming supports you can implement immediately (no more "Sounds great, but what do I actually DO?" moments).
We'll Cover:
- Anxiety and depression in neurodivergent children – recognize the signs, understand the root causes, and support kids in ways that honor their neurology
- Emotional regulation strategies that actually work – co-regulation approaches, sensory-based tools, and practical strategies that respect how neurodivergent brains process emotions (way beyond "take a deep breath")
- School stress, social confusion & sensory overwhelm – understand what's really happening beneath the surface and collaborate effectively with clients, parents and educators to create supportive environments
- Executive functioning support that affirms, not shames – strengths-based approaches that help kids develop skills in ways that work with their brains, so they can thrive as their authentic selves (not just mask or comply)
You'll Leave With:
- More confidence and a bigger clinical toolkit – practical, neurodiversity-affirming interventions that actually work with your clients (not just theory you'll forget by Monday)
- A completely new lens for understanding behavior – ditch the deficit-based thinking and see the "why" behind what children do, leading to better outcomes for everyone
- Supports you can implement RIGHT AWAY – no waiting, no guessing, just clear strategies you can use with your very next client
